Which is the greatest supercar of all time? With your help, CAR is hoping to find out. We're searching for the definitive supercar – the model that best defined the supercar breed, the most significant or just your plain favourite.
The Mercedes S Class has long been at the forefront of car technology. You can bet your boots that what we see on any new S Class will be where mainstream makers go in years to come. The S Class was first with things like inertia reel belts and air-bags, and the 2009 Mercedes S Class (perhaps we should call it the 2010 Mercedes S Class in deference to our US friends) – although an update rather than new model – follows this tradition.
The Cadillac ATS is an all-new, lightweight, rear-wheel drive sedan that aims to take the fight to the dominant BMW 3-Series in the compact premium segment. The ATS gains the latest interpretation of Cadillac's ‘Art & Science' design language, building on the recent, bigger XTS' aesthetics. Fortunately, the ATS' proportions are far more appealing than its awkward bigger brother, with short overhangs, a long wheelbase and wide tracks giving it a good stance.
